KnightSwap DEX Interview
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Welcome everyone to the AMA with Knight!
A few housekeeping items before we get started. I will be muting the chat during the AMA with Knight. After I spend some time asking my questions, I will then open up the chat for a few minutes for everyone to ask questions. Knight will then select 5 of the questions asked by the participants. Best questions will win $50 each. ($250 total)
Let’s get this party started!
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Can we start out with an introduction of Knight?
Nic Peterson: You’re the boss, so I guess we can =) What I do in real life is help people multiply their wealth and get what they really want most. I was doing this BEFORE I was really deep into crypto, and realized the opportunity here in the decentralized world. Now, the are truly amazing ways to RELIABLY multiply wealth with staking, farming and understanding the types of assets available. Everyone is so busy chasing APY they mostly wreck themselves chasing big numbers. So we’ve been teaching people how to navigate the space and realized the single biggest point of failure, currently, is dexes, farms and pool
Nic Peterson: Don’t get us wrong, we love pancake and babyswap – and the other swaps, but there are just same ways to do it better, faster SAFER and more reliably – so while we have been using other dexes and have great relationships with them, the only solution was to create what we envision as the ultimate platform for passive income and safe trading… KNIGHT
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: I’m waiting to hear more about this single point of failure of dexes farms and pools…
Nic Peterson: To be clear, I do not think other dexes are failure, but in a strategy to accumulate wealth reliably… If you need to use 4 platforms to bring s strategy together and all 4 are always changing pools, APYS. emissions, its like a never ending chase.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: I see what you are saying there. It is also very confusing for the average person to learn to navigate all these different things.
Nic Peterson: So if we consider a single persons strategy over a long period of time, the most likely point of failure is the dex changing something, since most yield starts in a farm hosted by a dex – if that makes sense. Yes, this is the gap that we close
- What do you want?
- What is the most efficient path forward?
- How do we make sure you don’t get wrecked?
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: I think number 3 is probably the most important thing people need to learn
Nic Peterson: Agree. There is so much upside in this space, that if you just don’t get wrecked, you’ll do pretty well
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: So how does Knight help an investor do all of these things easily?
Nic Peterson: Much of Knight resources are dedicated to helping less sophisticated investors become more sophisticated and help more sophisticated investors move into crypto safely
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: This sounds like something that is right up my alley.
Nic Peterson: Well it’s likely that if they are here, they will be able to navigate most of this space pretty well already. In time we will have:
- Easy to understand farms, just like any other dex
- Pools, like other dex
- Macro beliefs vaults
Nic Peterson: These are strategies that can be deployed entirely on Knight to help you acquire more of your macro belief (the things that you want)
Nic Peterson: So if you want more bitcoin, there will be a way to acquire more bitcoin passively, if you want more usd or more eth or whatever, it can all be done on Knight. Knight is built to be the safest place in BSC to get more of whatever YOU want. I am also very discerning about the projects we partner with and how they can fit into an investors portfolio, so we will be highlighting a select few and how they fit in different portfolios based on the investors personal preferences and risk profile
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: A few questions then, has Knight already launched on BSC and what makes it the safest place in BSC to invest?
Nic Peterson: It hasn’t, it launches tomorrow =) Overflow method presale, which is an example. It’s overflow and it’s open for 12 hours. There is ZERO reason to rush or FOMO. I cannot say its the safest, as it is not live, but that is what is designed to be and that is what our core focus is on.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Awesome! Where is the presale happening and how do we buy it?
Nic Peterson: Presale opens at, I believe, 5pm UTC tomorrow, the 2nd. It will be BUSD for allocation so that no matter when you make your investment the number of tokens per is the same. It was supposed to launched last thursday. Even though it’s been ready, we postponed because bsc was lagging and when tx don’t go through people panic and push MORE buttons lol.
So much of the safety comes from the decision making of the team.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Oh yeah BSC was having some network issues last week, that is for sure.
You are the first group to see that, so please note that the UI is not done and there are a few errors. =) ie. the allocation will be in BUSD, not BNB
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Oh cool, so it will be available on your own website then.
Nic Peterson: Yeah, it will launch/be available for trading on Knight
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: I can’t wait to check it out! So what exactly will the token be used for?
Nic Peterson: Well it’s a dex token similar to Cake, Banana, Baby, Wings, etc. It’s the native token of the dex, used as governance and reward but my favorite part of dex tokens is they have buying power.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: So is there unlimited supply? Can you explain the tokenomics a bit?
Nic Peterson: In any market – you can ALWAYS stake a dex token in pools for juicy APY and there are ALWAYS high emissions on dex native token farms. So if you have dex tokens, you’re pretty good in any market. In theory, like any dex token, they can be minted and burned to control supply.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: And some projects manage this better than others.
Nic Peterson: Yes. I won’t go too deep into naming names, but this is accurate lol
Nic Peterson: So here is something unique, and take it with a grain of salt, because everyone should do their own diligence. We will probably blow past our cap on presale from people that know me in real life, have spent tens of millions of dollars with me outside of crypto and many have been to my house and my office.
So unlike many projects with completely anonymous devs and owners making promises, we have FAR more to than to gain by doing anything sketchy. So our number one concern is ALWAYS protect the investors by protecting the price of the assets the invest in and yield (the ones within our control)
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: I’ve noticed our TG channel was overtaken by the Wolfpack, so it seems like you will have no problem selling out.
Nic Peterson: Our last presale was 200k cap went 1.9 million overflow That is a result of always taking care of our people.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Let’s talk about safety and security a bit more, have you been audited and what other security measures are you taking?
Nic Peterson: Audits are pending, third party audits are number one priority. They just take time. Many projects will start with vaults before farms for funding, since vaults have deposit fee and take a % of reward – but vaults also expose investors to flash loan (as some are realizing this last week or two unfortunately).
Fortunately, security on a dex is fairly standardized by now. The next step is to get everything live and our core holders and team members loading up liquidity and then get put the through the ringer by third party auditors =) The vaults and yield aggregators, which are coming in the future, will require FAR more security measures, and those will be broken down in detail before they go live.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: I appreciate that you are taking your time to release the items that have a higher risk involved.
Nic Peterson: Not in a rush to wreck anyone =)In a world where urgency is the norm, those that slow down a little bit are probably going to win
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: So is Knight related to Wizard and other projects? I see a lot of your socials and links are for your other names?
Nic Peterson: Yes, Knight and Wizard share a dev team and, in time, the Wizard marketplace and Gaming platforms will be integrated with Knight
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Will Knight have NFTs or what else ca we expect as the project matures?
Nic Peterson: Full NFT marketplace with various ways to earn additional yield and unlockable on the Knight platform i.e. can earn NFT x and stake NFT x to earn NFT which gives you increased yield in farms and pools
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: I really enjoy the NFTs that you can farm with.
Nic Peterson: The NFT farms on Wizard bring a ton of TVL and eyeballs from other projects, which will be Knight TVL and eyeballs as well. NFT farms are super cool. we have a few live and people l love them – its unique and people like to share what they’ve earned with other members.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: It’s like a whole new digital world of collectibles that don’t take up all the closet space with physical albums (i.e. baseball cards, pokemon cards, etc.)
Nic Peterson: Exactly. NFT’s hit different than coins do. Getting them to work together to create synergy in an eco system is magical =) so we have a lot of cool stuff around that. And a lot of larger partners (will remain nameless until they announce it) are coming along for the ride.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Selling out a presale and launching farms is great, but usually after the initial few weeks when the APRs drop, so does the interest in the project. What are your long term plans to keep the project growing?
Nic Peterson: Great question. And there are a few layers to this – Behind the scenes: we have million to move and hundreds of millions to roll into the eco system over the next 3-7 months, so that TVL, transactions, etc. wont be an issue. Front facing, we have unique marketing – its non hypey but builds a ton of trust through education. We welcome the APR chasers, but that’s not our target market long term
The NFT marketplace and farms will bring a ton of new eyeballs and a handful of very high volume projects are knocking on the door asking how we have done what weve done with our other projects trying to pay for consulting.
We’re not interested in consulting, but the trade off is we will teach these partner projects how to relieve sell pressure like we have in exchange for making us their primary dex. So we directly benefit from everyone else’s ongoing marketing and hype while our resources are focused primarily on product, if that makes sense=)
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Yes that does make sense. I know pancakeswap is usually the preferred dex since it’s the largest, so it might be a tough sell. But their lead dev just quit so who knows.
Nic Peterson: I am not in the business of convincing anybody of anything, my suggestion is typically just to tell people to watch – our of curiosity if nothing else.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Well I am sure I could chat with you for a lot longer, so we should probably get into some questions from the audience. Is there anything else you want to share about Knight before we get into questions for the audience?
Nic Peterson: Could share quite a bit, but I think answering questions is the way to go. Looking forward.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Okay let’s do this! This is how the question portion is going to work. Please add a Shields, Castles, Crowns or Sword emoji to your question for your question to be considered. The top 5 questions will win the prize! If your question does not have one of these emojis, your question will be disqualified.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Please @nicpeterson231 take your time and select the top 5 questions to answer
Nic Peterson: Alright, so here’s the deal. I’ll go pick some to answer, gimme a minute. And if you didn’t follow the rules, you’re DQed. It’s crypto. Slow down and pay attention, people. Not getting wrecked is priority 1.
Second rule, for my own sanity – if your question makes a ton of assumptions, I have to skip it – do not have the hours necessary to address the assumptions that would need to be true for the questions to be valid lol. Here we go.
Community Question #1:
EsrarengizBTC ☕️: Is Knight’s target audience just gamers, or do you want to attract gamers as well as non-gamers to invest in the project? Can those who do not spend much time on games like me invest in Knight? 🗡️⚔️
Nic Peterson: Knight target audience is not gamers =) It’s a dex, its literally anyone that wants to trade – like pancake or apeswap. The largest audience will be the people that want to create passive income from farming, pools and strategic use of their assets.
We have what we call a “base case” which a just a strategy for people that want passive income without watching charts all day long – that will likely be our largest audience but… gotta let these things play out because sometimes the world surprises us with their response(s). Diffusion of Innovations – never decide too early who the audience is and how they will use your product. Remember, Viagra was designed for headache and… users found a much better use for it. lol
Community Question #2:
Summer: According to the roadmap, what is your most important next priority? Do you have enough funds and strong community to achieve the goal? ⚔️
Nic Peterson: Next priority is a ton of liquidity – 5 million or so for our top projects to be able to trade safely. Yes, we have the funds and if you scroll up to the beginning of the day you will see we have a VERY strong community. Most of our community of not even on Telegram, they’re just waiting for the next steps. Priority after that is finalizing and introducing partners.
Community Question #3:
Vulas: HI @nicpeterson231 🤺 So many fad or meme projects out there. How do you strengthen your declaration as a committed project with longevity and sustainability in mind? 🧜♀💂
Nic Peterson: This is a great question. First, my face and name are on it. lol hopefully the investors come to learn that is not something I take lately. Secondly, our motto is “your maximum achievability is not your maximum maintainability”
Our team does not benefit from short term pump and dump projects, you will see in our marketing style, AMA styl and how the communities react and behave in groups that our team and core supporters are thinking 10 year timelines which is VERY unusual in this space.
Community Question #4:
J. Marin: If KNIGHT and WIZARD share development team, market and other products. So why create or design a different and separate project? will they merge in the future in innovations and products in a single project? It’s curious! 🙂⚔️
Nic Peterson: There are many reasons for this. Tesla and Space x, for example, share many development teams and joint ventures – sometimes just to take advantage of economies of scale – but are separate entities. You can study Nassim Nicholas Taleb Incerto, more specifically “Anti Fragile” to learn why this approach is better for all projects.
Each aspect of the projects working together need to work as a standalone but create stnergy while working together, else we risk robbing Peter to pay Paul, if that makes sense. It’s complex system 101 or basic ecology =) 1 single entity is always more fragile than multiple that stand and work together. Hope that answers your questions adequately.
Community Question #5:
Wilny Wilhelmina: You say a Presale opens at 5pm UTC tomorrow, the 2nd. Does Pre-sale system have any function that prevents holders with many tokens from having lots of power and possible monopolization? 🛡️🏰⚔️👑 @nicpeterson231
Nic Peterson: Yes, its an overflow method. And the presale is very small relative to the size of the project. The more people that invest, the more the overflow method prevents a single person from having too many tokens. But for a dex, the ENTIRE presale allocation is pretty small and most of the investors I know personally will never sell =)
Nic Peterson: I think thats five =) Note: I have thousands of unread messages. If anyone messaged me privately I will ignore or block. Do not take it personal.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Well thank you so much for answering all of these questions.
Nic Peterson: I really like the emoji thing. Brilliant
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Where can everyone go to continue asking their questions about Knight?
Nic Peterson: So knight is semi-private since we know we will fill the allocation quickly. There are two groups that have access (plus those that hear about it here).
The latter is my announcement channel, the former is a group to ask questions and Wizards team will be able to help.
☆CryptoGirlfriend☆: Thank you @nicpeterson231 for taking the time to tell us about Knight. Good luck tomorrow with your presale! That concludes today’s AMA.
Nic Peterson: Thank you =) Appreciate ya
