Crypto.com has taken a giant step forward with the announcement of support for the Binance Smart Chain‘s token standard, BEP-20 (BSC). The exchange has accepted a variety of crypto tokens that adhere to the BEP-20 standard, which is an extension of the most widely used Ethereum token standard, ERC-20. Among these tokens are well-known cryptocurrencies like DOGE, ADA, LTC, BCH, and AVAX.
According to a press statement on Crypto.com‘s official blog, “BNB will now have additional utility as it is now supported by Crypto Earn, enabling qualified Crypto.com App users to enjoy up to 3 % p.a. on their BNB deposits, paid in BNB.”
Crypto.com is a cryptocurrency exchange that launched in 2016. Within five years, it had grown to over ten million users. The platform founders include Bobby Bao, Gary Or, Kris Marszalek, and Rafael Melo with the company based in Hong Kong. In addition, Crypto.com is one of the leading official sponsors of one of the most prestigious sports events in history, the Formula One championship in 2021. They are also working with the Aston Martin F1 Racing team to produce similar NFTs.
With the acceptance of BEP-20 tokens, the platform expands the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) footprint to new heights.
